Electric mobility in logistics – transitioning from prototyping to everyday use

Electric mobility in logistics – transitioning from prototyping to everyday use

The growth in attendance of the 5th SMART CITY LOGISTIK Congress reflects that electric mobility is increasingly becoming an object of widespread interest. More than 130 guests participated in the user-oriented forum on June 25 and 26, 2018, and discussed best practice examples, research results and new developments in e-vehicle construction. The presentation of one of our research projects, SMART DISTRIBUTION LOGISTIK, received particular attention. As one of the first results of the project, the partners presented an evaluation model which helps to determine suitable vehicles for the respective use case. The research project wants to reach cost effectiveness in electric mobility for city logistics by implementing a central platform for managing and optimizing e-mobility-based fleets in combination with multi use models and smart concepts for mobile hubs. You can find a summary of the congress on this page (only German).
